Based in Brussels for over a decade, May Lyn’s practice consists of advising on competition law and procedure in relation to multi-jurisdictional mergers and large-scale cartel and antitrust cases. She also counsels clients dealing with the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR). She works for a broad range of clients, including those in the life sciences, consumer goods, technology, manufacturing and automotive sectors.
May Lyn is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales, and registered with the Irish and Brussels Bars. She is the Chair of the Competition Section Advisory Committee of the Law Society of England & Wales and is recognised as a Future Leader in Who’s Who Legal.

Representing TOKIN Corporation in the European Commission's Capacitors investigation and the subsequent appeal against the Commission's decision before the General Court in Luxembourg.
Acting for IBM in its acquisition of Turbonomics.
Securing global antitrust merger approvals for the acquisition of Primetals Technologies by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
Advising IBM on the global merger control aspects of its US$34bn acquisition of Red Hat. Securing merger approvals for IBM in a number of jurisdictions around the world.
Advising BASF on the global merger control procedure regarding the combination of its paper and water chemicals business with Solenis (combined sales of EUR 2.4bn).
Advising Alstom as antitrust counsel in the sale of its power businesses to GE for EUR 12.4bn and EUR 700m acquisition of GE’s transportation signalling business.
Acting for one of the carriers in the European Commission’s investigation of the maritime car shipping sector and in coordinating our client’s worldwide defence strategy.
