Leading change through our pro bono work

Working on the Ukraine Pro Bono Collaborative project, our Warsaw team continue to support Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

Through the Ukraine Pro Bono Collaborative (UPBC), pro bono lawyers from our Warsaw office have been assisting with cases as we receive them. The lawyers have been contributing to one of four locations, covering a range of issues, including, access to accommodation, children’s rights and guardianship, employment, setting up a business, social welfare, passports and IDs, residency permits, returning to Ukraine, and travel to other countries. So far, the collaborative project of the UPBC has assisted 7604 people in 5306 cases.

Earlier this year, we were awarded with the LexisNexis 2024 Pro Bono Award and in 2023 we won the ‘Best Pro Bono Initiative’ at The Lawyer European Awards for our involvement in the project. Learn more about the work UPBC does in this video.
