Hogan Lovells advises Waste Management Inc on its $7.2 billion take-private acquisition of Stericyle Inc
London, 05 June 2024 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has assisted Waste Management, Inc (WM) on its $7.2 billion take-private acquisition of Stericycle, Inc. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Stericycle, Inc. is a compliance company that specializes in collecting and disposing regulated medical waste, such as medical waste and sharps, pharmaceuticals, hazardous waste, and providing services for recalled and expired goods.
WM intends to finance the transaction using a combination of bank debt and senior notes. The consideration representing a total enterprise value of approximately $7.2 billion when including approximately $1.4 billion of Stericycle’s net debt.
