Lauren Cury is an intellectual property litigator practicing at the forefront of the trademark, copyright and trade secret issues confronting the world's most prominent brands, well-known content providers and largest technology companies.
With experience successfully litigating before federal courts as well as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and International Trade Commission, Lauren has been repeatedly recognized as a Rising Star in Intellectual Property by SuperLawyers Magazine, received the Women In Law Award for Intellectual Property from Lawyer Monthly, and been identified as a leading trademark practitioner in the United States by Legal Media Group.
Lauren's practice spans the most complex intellectual property issues, including both the content and technology sides of copyright, non-traditional trademarks and trade secret misappropriation. She is a thought leader in the emerging area of generative AI's copyright implications, a topic on which she regularly presents, and co-chairs the firm's Global Copyright Working Group. She also routinely litigates Lanham Act unfair competition, false advertising and related state law claims. Lauren is known for her zealous advocacy, tireless work ethic and strategic analysis, and clients trust Lauren with their most critical intellectual property matters.

Secured 2023 victory for leading provider of business services and supplies, products and technology solutions in three year copyright and breach of contract battle surrounding use of database.
Secured 2022 early dismissal of trademark infringement claims on behalf of major rideshare app, which claims challenged our client's house brand and sought US$250bn in damages.
Secured 2022 summary judgment victory for major software company in lawsuit involving copyright, trade secret and tortious interference claims relating to vulnerability databases.
Successfully led joint defense subgroup representing major hotel chains in trademark infringement counterclaims against downstream online travel agency, leading to 2021 successful resolution.
Successfully obtained limited exclusion order for Segway at the ITC against Swagway-branded hoverboards.
Successfully represented major online travel agency in copyright infringement dispute surrounding use of car photographs in car rental business
Successfully represented major consumer electronics company in multiple district court actions involving copyright, trademark, and patent claims.
