Janice is a partner in the Hong Kong Litigation, Arbitration and Employment practice.
Janice has established herself as a go-to construction lawyer in the Hong Kong market with a strong focus on construction related disputes and arbitration. Janice's client relationships extend to major statutory bodies, developers, contractors, consultants, and construction industry regulatory bodies in Hong Kong.
Janice has experience in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious construction matters, including matters relating to contractual interpretation, defects, delay, extension of time, and payment. She is acknowledged for her contribution to "The Annotated Ordinances of Hong Kong – Arbitration Ordinance (Cap. 609)" published in 2014 (including the 2018 and 2022 Reissue). Janice has spoken extensively on construction and arbitration issues including on security of payment legislation, expert independence, pain/gain sharing, professional negligence and typical claims for time and money.
Janice is also a member of the Hogan Lovells Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee in the Hong Kong office and leads the Women Impact Network of Hogan Lovells (APAC), which encourage wide participation and support of the firm's DEI efforts.

Advising an architect in defending an arbitration commenced by a developer in relation to the plans and drawings for the development and construction of a residential property.
Advising a developer in relation a potential claim against a main contractor regarding defective workmanship in the instalment of external wall tiles.
Advising a major developer in relation to a potential arbitration against a main contractor in relation to delay in rectification works, outstanding works and payment.
