As an associate in the Public Law & Policy team, Maddy assists clients from both the public and private sectors on a wide range of matters, spanning advisory work and litigation. 

Maddy has experience acting for both claimants and defendants in high-profile, high-value judicial review and commercial human rights claims.

Representative experience

Acting for the London Metal Exchange defending significant commercial human rights damages claims worth approximately $450 million in respect of actions taken in the nickel market.

Representing the UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero in its defence of judicial review challenges on public law and subidy control grounds to the transfer of Bulb Energy.

On-going advice for the Crown Estate on public law and constitutional law issues arising as a result of its complex constitutional relationship with the UK state.
