As a counsel heading our Corporate and M&A department of the Warsaw office, Tomasz Zak focuses his practice at Hogan Lovells on M&A, Private Equity, and commercial contracts. He brings extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, private equity transactions, reorganizations, corporate governance, and directors' liability. Widely recognized as an authority with an excellent legal mind, Tomasz advises not only on a spectrum of domestic and international issues in industries as diverse as media and entertainment and financial institutions, but also anticipates and helps clients solving a range of cutting-edge challenges.
Being particularly business oriented, Tomasz brings not only a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role but vision as well - with the ability to 'think around corners' and see what's ahead. He understands and solves the problem before it becomes a problem and delivers clear and practical advice helping clients to stay on top of their risks and opportunities. Tomasz also gives lectures at MBA studies and seminars on business law, and co-authored two books on directors' liability.

Advising Nordea PTE on disposal of fund to Powszechne Towarzystwo Emerytalne PZU S.A. (PZU Group), first disposal of voluntary pension fund on Polish market.
Polish law advice to Vue Entertainment on acquisition of Multikino Group (network of cinemas in Poland and Baltics).
Advising ALDO Group/Nezri Management Ltd. (ALDO's global distributor) on purchase of Polish subsidiary of Ultimate Fashion (EMF Group company) operating ALDO Stores in Poland.
Advising BMP Media Holdings LLC (Brant Publication's Group) on investment in ARTNEWS S.A. (a Polish joint-stock company), creating influential print and digital publisher.
Advising consortium of investors on equity investment in mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Virgin Mobile Central and Eastern Europe (VMCEE).
Advising mBank S.A. on transaction of sale of its property and casualty insurance business BRE Insurance to Avanssur (subsidiary of AXA S.A.).
