Hogan Lovells ranked third in Law.com’s Best Law Firms for Pro Bono in the UK for 2023
London, 9 November 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has been named among the top three law firms to work for in the UK in Law.com International's Best Law Firms for Pro Bono in the UK for 2023.
The research focused on the total number of pro bono hours a firm worked, as well as the percentage of each firm’s total lawyer headcount working on pro bono matters.
Law.com International analysed the data of the 44 firms that provided information and ranked the firms that made the top 25 when considering the total number of hours worked and the percentage of lawyers getting involved.
International Pro Bono Partner, Yasmin Waljee OBE, said: “The focus of pro bono should always be about the impact for individual clients. A combination of our practice strength and resource alongside the commitment of the impact organisations and access to justice organisations with whom we work, allows us to deliver the best possible service. I am proud of the commitment and energy of my colleagues across the firm who daily deliver on our pro bono commitment.”
Law.com said: “Hogan Lovells has long-been considered one of the leading pro bono firms in the country, with a specialised team dedicated to working on such matters. This year one of its pro bono highlights was establishing key legal precedent relating to cross-border trafficking between the UK and France, ensuring that victims’ reports of trafficking to UK police are recognized in France. It also worked on a ground-breaking contract to enable the financing of a new temperate rain forest.”
