Hogan Lovells partners named among Latin America's Top 100 Female Lawyers by Latinvex
São Paolo, Miami, 31 October 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that partners Isabel Costa Carvalho and Maria Eugenia Ramirez have been named among Latinvex’s Top 100 Female Lawyers for 2023.
The editorial staff of Latinvex selects the top 100 female lawyers specializing in Latin America among international law firms. The ranking looked at nearly 100 law firms, ultimately selecting 100 attorneys from 62 different firms based in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the Cayman Islands. The selection criteria included lawyers' recent track records on major deals and business, as well as the prominence of the firm in Latin America and recognition from third parties such as Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500, among others.
Isabel Costa Carvalho was recognized for her practice in Capital Markets, FCPA, and Corporate/M&A. She is the Office Managing Partner of the firm's São Paolo office and is one of Latin America’s most prominent capital markets, M&A, and white collar and fraud investigation lawyers. She has assisted more than 50 companies on international equity fundraisings, and countless more on debt issuances.
Maria Eugenia Ramirez is recognized for her practice in Arbitration and Litigation. She has been with the firm since 2002 and played a crucial role in the foundation of its award-winning International Arbitration practice. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Ramirez represents a broad range of international clients with a focus on Latin American disputes. She handles international arbitration matters in both English and Spanish before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association (ICDR), the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), among others.
