Hogan Lovells counsels W. P. Carey in NLOP spin-off

Washington, D.C. 3 November 2023 – A team from global law firm Hogan Lovells advised W. P. Carey, a real estate investment trust (REIT) on tax matters related to the company’s spin-off of Net Lease Office Properties, a separate, publicly-traded REIT that will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “NLOP”. Under the terms of the spin-off, the company’s stockholders received one NLOP common share for every 15 shares of W. P. Carey common stock held as of 19 October 2023.
