Led by Christine Borries and Matthias Jaletzke, international law firm Hogan Lovells has advised HR Group on the acquisition of Success Hotel Group through an insolvency plan.
Earlier this year, Success Hotel Management GmbH filed for insolvency proceedings in self-administration at the Stuttgart District Court with the objective of restructuring the company. The M&A process initiated in April resulted in the HR Group being the highest bidder and now the sole shareholder. The insolvency plan, which was accepted by the creditors on 20 May 2022 with only one abstention, was confirmed on 23 June 2022 and has been legally binding since 7 July 2022.
With now more than 100 hotels in over 60 locations and six countries, the HR Group is one of the leading multi-brand hotel operating companies in Central Europe. The Berlin-based company has been successfully acquiring and operating hotels for more than ten years and cooperates with established hotel groups.
Hogan Lovells advised its long-standing client HR Group on all legal issues during the bidding process and the acquisition of Success Hotel Group.
