Hogan Lovells advises Equitix on the acquisition of a sustainability portfolio from Enpal
Led by Frankfurt partner Dr Torsten Rosenboom, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Equitix on the acquisition of a majority stake in a residential home decarbonisation portfolio from Enpal B.V.
The transaction involves connected solar photovoltaic panels, energy storage systems, and electric vehicle charging points in 60,000 households across Germany with a projected combined generation capacity of 550 MWp.
Equitix joined forces with the business trust "Keppel Infrastructure Trust" for the purchase. Together, the fund managers will hold 90 percent of the EUR 1.6 billion portfolio.
The international fund manager Equitix is one of the leading investors in the infrastructure sector. With this latest investment, the company is strengthening its growing renewable energy portfolio in Europe while continuing its commitment to a net-zero future.
“We are proud to have pioneered together with Equitix and advised on the first investment of this scale in the residential home decarbonisation sector in Europe,” says lead partner Dr Torsten Rosenboom, who, along with his team, provided legal advice on all aspects of the acquisition.
