Hogan Lovells advises Commerz Real on the acquisition of a wind farm in Finland
Frankfurt, 11 January 2023 – Led by Dr Alexander Stefan Rieger (Partner), Maximilian Broermann (Counsel) and Dr Joscha Müller (Associate), global law firm Hogan Lovells advised the asset management company Commerz Real AG on the acquisition of a Finnish wind farm with 28.5 megawatts of nominal capacity for its impact fund Klimavest.
Built in 2022 near the city of Vaasa in West-Finland, the wind farm comprises five N163 – 5.7 megawatt turbines with a height of 148 meters. The generated green electricity is expected to cover the calculated annual demand of more than 12,000 average Finnish households. The technical and commercial management of the park is carried out by seller Energiequelle, an international project developer with a track record of more than 1,500 megawatts of project volume.
