Hogan Lovells advises Sojitz Corporation on its additional investment in Hycamite TCD Technologies

Tokyo, 23 January 2025 - Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised its long standing client, Sojitz Corporation (Sojitz), on its additional investment in Hycamite TCD Technologies Oy (Hycamite), a startup that develops next-generation proprietary catalytic technology for use in the production of turquoise hydrogen.

As a result of the additional capital increase, which follows Sojitz’s initial investment in Hycamite in July 2023, Sojitz has now become the largest shareholder in the Finland-based startup. The additional investment demonstrates Sojitz’s ongoing commitment to further expand its partnership with Hycamite to develop and promote commercial-scale hydrogen projects both in Japan and throughout the world.

The transaction was led by Tokyo Corporate and Finance partner Jacky Scanlan Dyas and counsel Viet Nguyen.
