Hogan Lovells advises Chevron on strategic acquisitions in Namibia

London, 12 July 2024 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells represented Chevron on its strategic acquisitions in Namibia.

Chevron has signed farm-out agreements with each of Maravilla Oil & Gas (Pty) Ltd and Namibia’s national oil company (NAMCOR) to acquire an 80% operated working interest in Petroleum Exploration Licence 82, an offshore block in the Walvis Basin in Namibia. 

Following completion of the acquisitions, which are subject to customary regulatory approvals, each of NAMCOR and Custor Energy will retain a 10% interest in Petroleum Exploration Licence 82.
