Marlen Mittelstein is an experienced lawyer in the field of intellectual property law. She specializes in trademark and design law, including domain name and company name law, as well as press law. In addition, she actively advises on European digitalisation regulation, such as the Digital Services Act, and on unfair competition law (UWG). With her expertise, she supports clients from various industries, including consumer goods, food and beverages, medical devices, technology and insurance.
Her practice covers the strategic optimization and development of trademark and design portfolios for national and international clients. She has extensive experience in successfully assisting companies with renaming projects and the introduction of new trademarks. She also offers advice on advertising strategies and press law.
Marlen has many years of litigation experience and represents her clients in the areas of trade mark law, company trademark law and design law as well as in unfair competition proceedings before offices and courts.
Marlen specializes in intellectual property law. She completed her studies in Hamburg and Essex, Great Britain. There she obtained an LL.M. in EU law and focused on European competition law. As a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright (GRUR), she always remains involved in the field of intellectual property law.
