Marie-Aimée de Dampierre is the Chair of Hogan Lovells. She is passionate about client service, collaboration and diversity and inclusion.
Before taking up the role of Chair, Marie-Aimée held a number of management roles including head of the Paris office IPMT practice, office managing partner for Paris, Board member ('At Large' seat), Regional Managing Partner for Continental Europe and Regional Managing Partner for the firm's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region (and a member of the firm's International Management Committee), and chair of the firm's global Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
Marie-Aimée began her career as a trademark agent, then as a litigator in a well-known IP boutique firm. She joined Hogan Lovells in 2000 as a senior associate as she wanted to be part of a more global platform. She assists and represents large businesses in the life sciences, consumer, media and technology industries in particular in relation to local and international disputes involving the protection and the enforcement of their intellectual property rights. She was one of the first lawyers assisting clients in major deals involving the securitization of intellectual property rights, including software and trademarks. She has developed a specific skill in mediation proceedings.
