Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Margarita Morales worked in a major Spanish law firm and her practice was focused on resolving a broad range of disputes through litigation proceedings. Consequently, she has experience in complex matters especially in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, banking disputes relating to financial products, and disputes between shareholders with regards to company resolutions, as well as others. She also provides regular advice on all kind of regulatory aspects for companies listed on the Ibex-35. Margarita is an associate in the Madrid office of Hogan Lovells, advising in the insurance and reinsurance fields, as well as in product liability and industrial safety matters.
She focuses on insurance litigation, where she has particular experience in the defense of insurance and reinsurance companies in a wide range of matters such as industrial risk claims, professional liability claims, D&O and coverage disputes, as well as others. In addition, she focuses on tort law related to product liability claims, with a particular focus on the life sciences and health care sectors. Furthermore, she has experience in regulatory issues involving insurance companies and in legal counselling regarding interpretation of insurance contracts and their coverage.
