Felix Banholzer focuses on all aspects of patent law and other technical intellectual property rights. He has experience in advising in national and multinational patent litigation for many years, in particular in the field of telecommunications and mechanics. Besides German clients, Felix advises clients from other European countries, Asia and North America. He advises in patent litigation before German infringement courts and coordinates parallel litigation in pan-European disputes.
Furthermore, Felix conducts nullity actions at the German Federal Patent Court and the Federal Supreme Court and advises on general questions of patent law and the valuation of patent portfolios. Felix studied law in Muenster and Helsinki with a focus on international law. After graduating, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Münster's Institute for Information, Telecommunication and Media Law and received a Dr. iur. with a thesis about international jurisdiction in media law. During his legal traineeship at the Dusseldorf Court of Appeals, Felix worked, inter alia, in an international law firm in Dusseldorf and in the German Consulate General in New York.
