According to the results of a 2024 LexisNexis survey, half of Fortune 1000 law departments, and nearly half of Am Law 200 firms, report using Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools for legal work. While the use of GAI may not change the core ethical duties of lawyers as outlined in the Rules of Professional Conduct, it does present unique challenges in the application of those duties.
