“A skilled adviser on urban regeneration and redevelopment matters”

Chambers UK 2022

Named as an "associate to watch" in Chambers & Partners and a "rising star" in Legal 500, David Wood has a diverse planning practice advising clients on all types of major development proposals.

David is experienced in big ticket urban development and regeneration schemes, particularly in London, and is acting on a number of strategic applications across the city. David's work includes advising on planning application strategy, legal audits of applications, CIL advice and negotiating major Section 106 and infrastructure agreements with planning authorities, the GLA and TfL. David is also adept at contentious work and is experienced in major appeal and call-in inquiries and in the courts.

David takes a particular interest in energy and infrastructure work and acts for promoters of nationally significant infrastructure projects and parties affected by them. David advises on development consent projects from start to finish; drafting development consent orders, appearing at examination to carry out advocacy, and advising on the implementation of the consent and associated powers of compulsory acquisition.
