Justin's practice primarily involves representing fund sponsors across a wide range of formation, governance, operational and regulatory matters. He also advises large institutions on potential investments and negotiations with fund sponsors.
During law school, Justin was the Executive Operations Officer for the Harvard Business Law Review and worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Enforcement as part of the SEC's Student Honors Program.
Prior to law school, Justin worked in the U.S. intelligence community as an intelligence tradecraft officer and was previously a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy, where he served at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command, aboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76), U.S. Naval Space Warfare Systems Command and the Office of Naval Intelligence.
Justin is an active participant in the pro bono program at Hogan Lovells and, as a military veteran, is particularly interested in veterans' issues. During law school, he was a student attorney at the Veterans Law and Disability Benefits Clinic. He assists veterans with discharge upgrades and post-discharge disability ratings appeals and volunteers with Service to School, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that seeks to prepare transitioning military veterans for their next chapter of leadership by helping them gain admission to colleges and graduate schools.
