Insights and events
Andreas Eggert specialises in the taxation of international groups. His areas of focus include transfer pricing, global mobility of employees and matrix structures. Clients appreciate his ability to handle complex issues and find workable solutions for difficult tax and legal problems.
Most international tax matters are not limited to one kind of tax. Andreas provides comprehensive advice to ensure that all interactions between different types of taxes (e.g. VAT and corporate income tax) are adequately considered. He is experienced in the coordination of complex tax and legal projects that include multiple jurisdictions and areas of law.
Andreas regularly advises companies on critical tax compliance issues. This includes voluntary self-disclosures, difficult tax audits, internal investigations and tax crime/administrative offense procedures.
After his law studies in Augsburg and his clerkship at the Higher Regional Court Munich, Andreas worked as a research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance in Munich. He is qualified as lawyer and tax advisor.
Andreas was awarded the Mitchell B. Carroll Prize 2014 by the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Faculty Prize 2014 by the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich for his dissertation on the proposed directive for a Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB).
