Fiercely representing clients before state and federal courts has been Alejandro Garcia González's main job for almost two decades. His practice is focused on commercial, civil, and administrative litigation, including financial services litigation and arbitration. He is based in our Monterrey office and has appeared before courts from several jurisdictions throughout Mexico.
Alejandro has vast knowledge of the procedural rules and litigation arena in Nuevo León and Quintana Roo, especially the Riviera Maya area, where he has practiced for several years. During his career, Alejandro has been involved in a large number of real estate and construction matters, representing clients on both private and public law litigation.
From a written trial tradition established more than a century ago, the Mexican law system has moved towards oral procedures in recent years, and this trend will continue in years ahead. Since Nuevo Leon was one of the pioneers in oral proceedings, Alejandro has acquired crucial skills and developed techniques in this type of trial to give him an important advantage over other litigators. His experience lets him evaluate legal risks and offer his clients pragmatic risk assessments; this is why Alejandro also advises clients on corporate matters involving commercial transactions, primarily in the real estate and construction sector.
