Ákos Kovách leads the Budapest office's competition and antitrust practice. He is a recognised expert in competition law in Hungary and has extensive experience in all aspects of competition law.
His practice includes advising and representing clients in various proceedings initiated by the Hungarian Competition Authority. Ákos also represents clients throughout high-level competition law related litigation cases before the competent courts and is active in advising on the implementation of tailor-made competition compliance programmes and trainings. He regularly advises on foreign investment control matters. Besides his competition law practice, he has significant experience in advising major international companies in M&A transactions, with a proven track record on structuring investments in Hungary.
Ákos is a recommended lawyer in various international legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500 for competition law in Hungary since 2013. Ákos is a qualified lawyer in both Hungary and France. He was appointed as a foreign trade advisor for France in 2013 and is a member of the Hungarian Association of Competition Law.
