Prior to her legal career, Ariel worked in the life sciences and real estate industries, and is able to draw on her management and administrative experience to help clients effectively execute complex business transactions. She has represented public and private companies in a variety of sectors, including real estate, technology, industrials, defense, and health care. Ariel's transactional experience includes public company mergers, private acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, investments and public offerings. Ariel regularly counsels companies and their boards on corporate governance, SEC disclosure, listing requirements, and related compliance matters
Ariel served as the diversity editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law. She was also a member of the Communications & Technology Law Clinic at the Institute for Public Representation, where she advised a nonprofit client on regulatory issues concerning the rights of tribal governments to conduct historic preservation reviews on telecommunications installations. During law school Ariel completed over 200 hours in community service and pro bono matters as a law student and an officer of the Georgetown Black Law Students Association. She maintains an active pro bono practice and a commitment to diversity in the legal field.
